Rebecca Lynn Walter and Brock James Gilheart exchanged vows at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope, surrounded by loved ones. Rebecca, the Banquet Manager at the Original Oyster House, and Brock, a skilled carpenter, have a love story that began in 2010 and spanned high school, long-distance college years, and Brock’s coaching stint in Alexander City before bringing them back home to Fairhope.
The pair first connected through mutual friends and Facebook, sharing their first date at the movies as high school sweethearts. After 13 years of dating, including a proposal that was as unexpected as it was heartfelt, the couple was ready to celebrate their love in the community where it all began. Brock popped the question after an anniversary brunch at Sean’s Prime Dining, turning a simple, unassuming moment at home into one Rebecca will cherish forever.
