SuperMom: Dr. Brittany Case

Being a working mom is one of the most challenging yet rewarding roles I have. I often feel like I can’t give 100% to both my career and my family, but I’ve learned to give myself grace and remember that I’m doing the best I can.

My husband, Butch, is the head boys’ basketball coach at Faith Academy in Mobile. We just celebrated our ten-year wedding anniversary in May. We have two daughters, Vivian, and Carsen. Vivian is five and will start Kindergarten in the fall, and Carsen is three and in preschool. Both girls love gymnastics, dance, and Disney princesses. We also have two golden doodles, Sipsey and Sadie, and we are members of First Baptist Fairhope.

My career in the medical field is demanding. I am triple boarded in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. I spend a lot of time at the hospital or staying late at the office, making sure my patients get the best care possible. It’s hard to balance work and family, but I hope my girls see that it’s possible to have a fulfilling career and be a good mom.
